The phrase “Beit Knesset” literally means “House of Assembly.” KSYM is much more than just a place where people come to pray and then leave. Members have worked hard to ensure that KSYM feels like home. Many of our members are English-speaking immigrants who left behind family and friends when they moved to Israel. As a result, members relate to each other like family, and a wonderful support network has been formed.

KSYM is so much more than just a place to pray, although prayer is of course a very important aspect of our community. There is also a culture club, Torah learning groups, youth activities, communal meals and holiday celebrations, charitable endeavors, lectures, a basketball team (we won the Modi’in shul league championship in 2008!) and much, much more.
